7 loks according to Vishnu Puran

There is a description of seven loks in Shivpuran and Vishnu Puran. The first three lok's will be destroyed at the end of every Manvantar. They are Bhulok(earth), Bhuvarlok and Swarg lok will perish at the end of all manvantar or kalps. The three above are called Akritaka loks.

Bhulok:The world where we reside and we can walk on foot etc, is known as Bhulok. In short our earth is Bhulok.

Bhuvarlok :The area between Earth and the Sun is called Bhuvarlok. It is the abode of deities belonging to space.

Swargalok: It lies between Sun and Dhruv mandal. It is the abode of god's like Indradev.

Next three loks namely Maharlok, Janlok and Tapalok are undestructible but become inhabitable after the Holocausts. They are known as Kritika loks.

Maharlok: It is the abode of Rishi Bhrigu and Sidhagan{Intellectuals & Kind person}. It is situated above Dhruvmandal and is at one crores yojan above Dhruv.

Janlok: This is the abode of Sankadik Rishis and other Tapasvi Rishi's. It is two crore yojan above Maharlok.

Taplok: Tapasvi Rishi resides here. It is eight crores above Janlok.

Satyalok :It is twelve crore yojan above Tapalok. God Brahma resides here, So it is also called Brahmalok. Sages of the highest caliber also reside here.
