Rv 1.17.4

Nation will only progress if they rise above the caste system according to Rig Ved 1.17.4

युवाकु हि शची॑नां युवाकु सुमतीनां ।

भूयाम वाज॒दाव्ना ॥

Translation:-

युवाकु - Integrate.

हि - That is why.

शची॑नाम् - With the Power.

युवाकु - Mobility.

सुमतीनाम् - With good intentions.

भूयाम - Become.

वाज॒दाव्नाम् - Donor of foodgrains.

Explanation:- For the development of nation the wise Brahmins, The strong Kshatriyas, The generous Vaishyas and Shudras should integrate and mobilize. If the King and his ministers think likewise, then the nation will surely develop.

Deep meaning: Everybody should rise above the caste system and integrate for the development of nation.

युवाकु - संगठित.

हि - ह्या साठी.

शची॑नाम् - शक्तीचे.

युवाकु - एकमताने.

सुमतीनाम् - सुमतिंचे.

भूयाम - बनवून घेणे.

वाज॒दाव्नाम् - अन्नदान करणारे.

भावार्थ :-देशाची प्रगती साठी सगळे उत्तम बुद्धिचे ब्राह्मण, उत्तम शक्तीचे क्षत्रिय आणि दानवीर वैश्यांना संगठित होण्याची आवश्यकता आहे.ह्यात जर राजा आणि मंत्री पण एकमत झाले तर राष्ट्राची प्रगति होणारच.

भावार्थ :-राष्ट्र की उन्नति के लिए ,सारे उत्तम ब्राह्मण, सारे उत्तम क्षत्रिय और दान करनेवाले वैश्य ,ये सभी संगठित और एक हों। इनके साथ ही राजा और मंत्री भी एकमत हों तब राष्ट्र की उत्तम प्रगति होगी।
