Water is the symbol of reverence which is truth in nature. Good Health and longevity are mentioned here because the Soul comes near to the Supreme Soul(Parmatma) and senses that knowledge so it should stay with us for a longer period @ Rig Ved 1.23.21
आपः॑ पृणी॒त भे॑ष॒जं वरू॑थं त॒न्वे॒३॒॑ मम॑ ।
ज्योक् च॒ सूर्यं॑ दृ॒शे ॥
Translation:-
आपः॑ - Oh Water!
पृणी॒त - To give.
भे॑ष॒जम् - Medicines.
वरू॑थम् - The ability to fight diseases.
त॒न्वे॒ - For the body.
मम॑ - Myself.
ज्योक्+च॒ - For a longer time.
सूर्यम् - For Surya.
दृ॒शे - To see.
Explanation:-This mantra is addressed to Water.Here the Yajmans request Water to give them all types of medicines to protect them from diseases and provide them a longer life. If they get a longer life they can watch the Sun for longer time.

आपः॑ पृणी॒त भे॑ष॒जं वरू॑थं त॒न्वे॒३॒॑ मम॑ ।
ज्योक् च॒ सूर्यं॑ दृ॒शे ॥
भाषांतर :-
आपः॑ - हे जल !
पृणी॒त - प्रदान करणे.
भे॑ष॒जम् - औषधी.
वरू॑थम् - रोग निवारण करणारे.
त॒न्वे॒ - शरीरा साठी.
मम॑ - माझे.
ज्योक् च॒ - लांब काळी.
सूर्यम् - सूर्याला.
दृ॒शे - पाहू शकणारे.
भावार्थ :- हा मंत्र पाणी किंवा जल ला संबोधित आहे.ह्यात पाणी कडे प्रार्थना केलेली आहे की त्याने आमच्या शरीराचे रक्षणा साठी आम्हास सर्व प्रकाराची औषधे प्रदान करून द्यावा.ह्या कारणे आम्ही दीर्घ आयु पर्यंत आपले आयुष्य घडवू आणि लांब समयी पर्यंत सूर्याचे दर्शन करू.
गूढार्थ: पाणी श्रद्धेचा प्रतीक आहे जे सत्य स्वरूप आहे.निरोग आणि दीर्घायुषी होण्याची बाब ह्या साठी केलेली आहे की आत्माचे आणि परमात्म्याचे सान्निध्यात होणारे ज्ञान बोध दीर्घ काळ पर्यंत रहायला हवा.

मम॑ - मेरे।
ज्योक् च॒ - बहुत समय तक।
सूर्यम् - सूर्य को।
दृ॒शे - देख सकना।
भावार्थ:- यह मंत्र जल को संबोधित किया गया है। इसमें जल से प्रार्थना की गई है कि वह शरीर की रक्षा के लिए वह हमें सभी प्रकार की औषधियां प्रदान करे और हमें लंबी आयु दे ताकि हम दीर्घायु तक सूर्य के दर्शन कर सकें।
गूढार्थ:- जल श्रद्धा का प्रतीक है जो कि सत्य स्वरूप है।निरोगी और दीर्घायु होने की बात इसलिए की गई है कि आत्मा के परमात्मा से सान्निध्य का ज्ञान बोध लंबे समय तक बना रहे।
