Jeev remains in darkness and ignorance. In that condition he is too materialistic. Mind is full of Vices. One cannot even imagine happiness if vices exist. So we have to acquire that intelligence to destroy these vices so that we are able to recognise the wrong and right and to do away with the wrong ones. Such intelligence can be attained after we get the grace of Ashwini Kumars.
आ नो॑ ना॒वा म॑ती॒नां या॒तं पा॒राय॒ गंत॑वे ।
युं॒जाथा॑मश्विना॒ रथं॑ ॥
Translation:
अश्विना - Oh Ashwini Kumar's!
मतीनाम् - With Stuti.
पाराय - To cross.
गन्तवे - To go away.
नावा - In Boat.
नः - Us.
आ यातम् - Come.
रथम् - In the Chariot.
युज्ञ्जाथाम् - To organise.
Explanation: Oh Ashwini Kumars! You organise your best horses and come here. You help us cross this difficult Ocean of unhappiness through your superior Knowledge.

भाषांतर:
अश्विना - हे अश्विनी नो!
मतीनाम् - स्तुति ने.
पाराय - पार.
गन्तवे - जाण्यासाठी.
नावा - होडी तून
नः - आम्ही.
आ यातम् - येणे.
रथम् - रथात.
युज्ञ्जाथाम् - संयोजन करणे.
भावार्थ:हे अश्विनी कुमारानो! आपण आपले श्रेष्ठ रथ नियोजित करून इथे यावे, आपल्या उत्तम बुद्धीने आम्हास दुःखाचे सागरातून पार पाडावे.
गूढार्थ: जीव अज्ञान आणि अंधःकार दशेत असतो, अश्या वेळी वस्तूंचा आग्रह पण जास्त राहतो, मन विकाराने ग्रसीत असतो, जेव्हा पर्यन्त विकार राहतील तेव्हा पर्यंत सुखाची कल्पना अनिश्चित असते,ह्या विकारांमुळे आमच्यात अशी बुद्धी आली पाहिजे की आम्ही सत पदार्थाना ग्रहण करु आणि असत पदार्थांचे त्याग करू.अशी बुद्धि अश्विनी कुमारांची अनुकंपने आम्ही प्राप्त करु.

युज्ञ्जाथाम् - संयोजित करना।
भावार्थ: हे अश्विनी कुमारों! आप दोनों अपने श्रेष्ठ रथों को संयोजित करके यहां आएं। अपनी उत्तम बुद्धि से हम सबको दुखों के सागर से उबारें।
गूढार्थ :जीव अज्ञानदशा और अंधकार में है। तो ऐसी दशा में वस्तुओं का आग्रह अधिक है। मन विकारों से ग्रसित है।जब तक विकार रहेंगे तब तक सुख की कल्पना भी नही की जा सकती।इन विकारों को दूर करने के लिए उसमे ऐसी बुद्धि आये की सत पदार्थों को ग्रहण कर सकें और असत पदार्थों का त्याग कर सके।ऐसी बुद्धि को प्राप्त करने की अनुकंपा अश्विनी कुमार हम पर करें।
